मम भुजबलवेगवेगितः पततु शरोऽस्य महान्महोरसि।व्यपनयतु तनोश्च जीवितं पततु ततस्समहीं विघूर्णितः।।।।

mama bhujabala-vega-vegitaḥ patatu śaro 'sya mahān mahorasi | vyapanayatu tanoś ca jīvitaṃ patatu tataḥ samahīṃ vighūrṇitaḥ ||

എന്റെ ഭുജബലത്തിന്റെ അതിവേഗം പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ച ഈ മഹാശരം അവന്റെ വിശാലമായ വക്ഷസ്ഥലത്തിൽ പതിക്കട്ടെ; ദേഹത്തിൽ നിന്നു ജീവൻ പിരിച്ചെടുക്കട്ടെ; പിന്നെ അവൻ വിറച്ച് ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു വീഴട്ടെ.

Spurred by the speed of my strong arms, my arrow will fall on his broad chest and separate his life from his body. Then his body reeling round and round will fall on the ground.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē araṇyakāṇḍē dvitīyassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the second sarga of Aranyakanda of the holy Ramayana the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
