Virādha-saṃvādaḥ — Encounter with Virādha in the Daṇḍakāraṇya
Aranya Kanda, Sarga 2
सीता प्रवेपतोद्वेगात् प्रावाते कदली यथा।।।।तां दृष्ट्वा राघवः सीतां विराधाङ्कगतां शुभाम्।अब्रवील्लक्ष्मणं वाक्यं मुखेन परिशुष्यता।।।।
sītā pravepata udvegāt prāvāte kadalī yathā | tāṃ dṛṣṭvā rāghavaḥ sītāṃ virādhāṅka-gatāṃ śubhām | abravīl lakṣmaṇaṃ vākyaṃ mukhena pariśuṣyatā ||
സീതാദേവി ഉത്കണ്ഠകൊണ്ട് ശക്തമായ കാറ്റിൽ വാഴത്തണ്ട് വിറയ്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെ വിറച്ചു. വിരാധന്റെ മടിയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന ശുഭയായ സീതയെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ രാഘവന്റെ വായ് വരണ്ടുപോയി; അവൻ ലക്ഷ്മണനോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു।
