त्वां द्रष्टुकामो मार्कंडो द्वारे तिष्ठत्यसौ मुनिः । त्वरितो धर्मपुत्रस्तु द्वारमेत्याह तत्परः

tvāṃ draṣṭukāmo mārkaṃḍo dvāre tiṣṭhatyasau muniḥ | tvarito dharmaputrastu dvārametyāha tatparaḥ

താങ്കളെ ദർശിക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച് മുനി മാർകണ്ഡേയൻ ദ്വാരത്തിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ ധർമ്മപുത്രൻ യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ വേഗത്തിൽ ദ്വാരത്തിലേക്ക് വന്ന്, കാര്യത്തിൽ ഏകാഗ്രനായി പറഞ്ഞു.
