अश्वत्थरोपणं कृत्वा जलाशयसमीपतः । यत्फलं लभते मर्त्यो न तत्क्रतुशतैरपि

aśvattharopaṇaṃ kṛtvā jalāśayasamīpataḥ | yatphalaṃ labhate martyo na tatkratuśatairapi

ജലാശയത്തിനടുത്ത് അശ്വത്ഥ (അരയാൽ) വൃക്ഷം നട്ടാൽ മനുഷ്യൻ നേടുന്ന പുണ്യഫലം, ശത യാഗങ്ങൾ ചെയ്താലും ലഭ്യമാകില്ല.
