The Five Great Sacrifices: Supremacy of Honoring Parents, Pativrata Dharma, Truthfulness, and Śrāddha

प्राक्पित्रोरर्चया विप्रा यद्धर्मं साधयेन्नरः । न तत्क्रतुशतैरेव तीर्थयात्रादिभिर्भुवि

prākpitrorarcayā viprā yaddharmaṃ sādhayennaraḥ | na tatkratuśataireva tīrthayātrādibhirbhuvi

ഹേ വിപ്രന്മാരേ, ആദ്യം മാതാപിതാക്കളെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ മനുഷ്യൻ നേടുന്ന ധർമ്മഫലം ഭൂമിയിൽ നൂറുകണക്കിന് യജ്ഞങ്ങളാലും തീർത്ഥയാത്രാദികളാലും പോലും ലഭ്യമല്ല.
