Puṣkara Mahatmya: Brahmā’s Lotus-Tīrtha, Sacrifice, Initiation, and Kṣetra-Dharma

जगतोऽनुग्रहार्थाय वासं तत्रान्वरोचयत् । पुष्करं नाम तत्तीर्थं क्षेत्रं वृषभमेव च

jagato'nugrahārthāya vāsaṃ tatrānvarocayat | puṣkaraṃ nāma tattīrthaṃ kṣetraṃ vṛṣabhameva ca

ലോകാനുഗ്രഹാർത്ഥം അദ്ദേഹം അവിടെ വാസം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു. ആ തീർത്ഥം ‘പുഷ്കരം’ എന്നു പേരുപറ്റി; ആ പുണ്യക്ഷേത്രം ‘വൃഷഭം’ എന്നും അറിയപ്പെട്ടു।
