हुंड उवाच । विप्रचित्तेः सुतश्चाहं गुणलक्षणसंयुतः । हुंडेति नाम्ना विख्यातो बलवीर्यमदोद्धतः

ഹുണ്ഡൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഞാൻ വിപ്രചിത്തിയുടെ പുത്രൻ, ഗുണലക്ഷണങ്ങളാൽ സമ്പന്നൻ. ‘ഹുണ്ഡ’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധൻ; ബലവും വീര്യവും എന്ന മദത്തിൽ ഉദ്ധതൻ.
