Description of the Pilgrimage to the Sacred Tīrthas

Kurukṣetra-yātrā-krama

सूर्यतीर्थे ततो भानुं सोपवासः समर्चयेत् । अग्निष्टोमस्य यज्ञस्य फलं लब्ध्वा व्रजेद्दिवम् ॥ ४९ ॥

sūryatīrthe tato bhānuṃ sopavāsaḥ samarcayet | agniṣṭomasya yajñasya phalaṃ labdhvā vrajeddivam || 49 ||

പിന്നീട് സൂര്യതീർത്ഥത്തിൽ ഉപവാസത്തോടെ ഭാനുവിനെ (സൂര്യദേവനെ) ആരാധിക്കണം; അഗ്നിഷ്ടോമ യാഗഫലത്തിന് തുല്യമായ ഫലം നേടി സ്വർഗത്തിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നു।
