FAQs

It teaches śāstra-based action performed with inner neutrality—free from attachment and hatred—while making satya (truth) the king’s primary vow and protection.

By urging duty without personal likes and dislikes, it cultivates purity of heart (śuddhi) that supports steady devotion; truthfulness and even-minded action become foundations for sincere bhakti.

The verse emphasizes śāstra-pramāṇa (scriptural authority) as the practical rule for conduct—aligning action with dharma rather than emotion—though no specific Vedanga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is directly discussed.
