अनूढां रुदतीं भद्रे भार्यार्थं समुपानयत् । इतीरितमुपाकर्ण्य वचनं राजकन्यया ॥ ९६ ॥

anūḍhāṃ rudatīṃ bhadre bhāryārthaṃ samupānayat | itīritamupākarṇya vacanaṃ rājakanyayā || 96 ||

“ഹേ ഭദ്രേ! വിവാഹം കഴിക്കാത്തതും കരയുന്നതുമായ ആ പെൺകുട്ടിയെ ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവരിക; അവളെ ഭാര്യയായി സ്വീകരിക്കണം”— എന്ന് രാജകുമാരി പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ട് അവൻ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേട്ടു.
