FAQs

It highlights adharma in household life—using wealth to entice and keep others for mere pleasure—showing how desire and misuse of resources lead the mind away from dharmic restraint and spiritual aims.

By contrast: a mind driven by krīḍā (self-indulgence) and durmati (wrong intent) is unfit for steady bhakti; devotion requires purity of intention, self-control, and ethical conduct rather than manipulation through wealth.

No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana, Jyotisha, or Kalpa) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is ethical discipline in gṛhastha life—proper use of wealth and control of sensual impulses, which supports vrata and dharmic practice.
