Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It assigns specific salutations to named powers (Vāmadeva and Jyeṣṭha) as functional parts (kalā) of a ritual sequence—one aimed at removing illness and the other explicitly for protection (rakṣā), showing how devotion is applied through precise mantra-technology.
Bhakti here takes the form of reverent invocation—“namaḥ”—where surrender and praise are not only devotional but also integrated into a disciplined ritual framework meant to safeguard the practitioner.
It reflects applied ritual science: the structured placement of mantra-lines (kalā) for specific results (disease-alleviation and protection), aligning with technical instruction typical of Vedanga-oriented sections (prayoga/nyāsa-style usage).
