Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in a technical/mantra-vidya context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: raudra
It frames the Netra-mantra as a fiery, protective formula: the mantra is structured as commands to terrify hostile influences and to burn and ash them, ending with “svāhā,” indicating ritual efficacy and sealing of the act.
Indirectly: it supports devotional life by prescribing a protective mantra that removes obstacles and fear, allowing the practitioner to maintain steadiness in worship and sacred duties without disturbance.
Mantra-prayoga (applied mantra procedure) is highlighted—how specific imperative mantra-words are sequenced and concluded with “svāhā,” reflecting technical ritual knowledge aligned with Vedanga-style precision in recitation and usage.
