Māruti-kavaca
jvalatkāṃcanavarṇāya dīrghalāṃgūladhāriṇe | saumitrijayadātre ca rāmadūtāya te namaḥ || 37 ||
Narada (within a hymn/stotra context in the Narada Purana narrative tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It venerates Hanumān’s divine qualities—radiance, strength, and steadfast service to Rāma—presenting devotion and surrender as a source of protection and auspicious victory.
By praising Hanumān specifically as “Rāma’s messenger,” the verse centers Bhakti on loyal service (dāsya-bhāva): devotion expressed through selfless action for the Lord’s purpose.
It reflects disciplined stotra-recitation practice—clear pronunciation and meter-aware chanting aligned with Śikṣā (phonetics) and Vyākaraṇa (correct word-forms) to preserve meaning and devotional efficacy.
