कूटतुल्याः स्मृता नित्ये सामान्येऽथ विशेषके । रुद्राः कूटगणाः प्रोक्ता न पात्रे नियमो मतः ॥ २४ ॥

Transliteration

kūṭatulyāḥ smṛtā nitye sāmānye'tha viśeṣake | rudrāḥ kūṭagaṇāḥ proktā na pātre niyamo mataḥ || 24 ||

Translation

നിത്യകർമ്മങ്ങളിലും പൊതുവായതും പ്രത്യേകവുമായ അനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങളിലും ഇവ ‘കൂടം’ (കൂട്ട്/കൂമ്പാരം) തുല്യമെന്നു സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. രുദ്രന്മാർ ‘കൂട-ഗണങ്ങൾ’ എന്നു പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; ഇതിൽ പാത്രം (ഗ്രാഹകൻ) സംബന്ധിച്ച് സ്ഥിരനിയമമില്ലെന്നതാണ് അഭിപ്രായം॥২৪॥
