Narada (teaching in a Vedanga/ritual-technical context, traditionally within the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It prescribes disciplined, time-bound mantra-japa (sunset to sunrise) and a seven-day observance, emphasizing tapas (austerity), continuity, and ritual steadiness to intensify mantra-siddhi.
While technical in tone, it supports bhakti through sustained remembrance (japa) across the night—an extended period of focused devotion that minimizes distractions and strengthens single-pointed worship.
It reflects ritual timing and procedure (kalpa-style discipline): specifying the japa window (sunset–sunrise) and a fixed vrata duration (seven days), along with prescribed ritual auxiliaries (bhasma and kīlaka).
