Narada (teaching in a technical/ritual context within Purva Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It teaches that sustained mantra-japa, supported by dhyāna (focused contemplation), functions as a powerful spiritual safeguard, capable of dispelling even “great fear” (mahābhaya).
Although framed as a technical japa instruction, it aligns with bhakti by emphasizing single-pointed remembrance (dhyāna) and faithful repetition (japa), which steadies the mind and invokes divine protection.
A practical japa-standard is indicated: lakṣa-japa (100,000 repetitions) with dhyāna, reflecting disciplined mantra-prayoga used in ritual science and allied Vedic technical traditions.
