Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that worship is not random but ordered: peace-bestowing divine energies (Śānti and related Śaktis) are honored directionally, and the deity’s twelve manifestations are approached through a graded, threefold ritual enclosure (āvaraṇa), cultivating completeness and inner steadiness.
Bhakti here is expressed as disciplined reverence—serving the deity through prescribed placements (directions) and successive enclosures, so devotion becomes focused, uninterrupted, and aligned with the deity’s many forms rather than scattered emotion.
Ritual science and precise procedure are emphasized—directional placement (dik/vidik), enclosure-based sequencing (āvaraṇa-krama), and correct deployment of named powers and forms, reflecting applied Kalpa (ritual discipline) supported by mantra usage.
