पयोऽन्नैः सर्पिषा हुत्वा प्रत्येकं सुसमाहितः । अश्वत्थोदुंबरप्लक्षवटाः क्षीरिद्रुमाः स्मृता ॥ १०६ ॥

payo'nnaiḥ sarpiṣā hutvā pratyekaṃ susamāhitaḥ | aśvatthoduṃbaraplakṣavaṭāḥ kṣīridrumāḥ smṛtā || 106 ||

പാൽ, അന്നം, നെയ്യ് എന്നിവകൊണ്ട് ഓരോ കര്‍മത്തിലും സുസമാഹിതനായി ആഹുതി അർപ്പിക്കണം. അശ്വത്ഥം, ഉദുംബരം, പ്ലക്ഷം, വടം—ഇവയാണ് ‘ക്ഷീരി’ (പാൽരസമുള്ള) വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ എന്ന് സ്മൃതം.
