Śeṣoditya-Sūrya-nyāsa, Soma-sādhana, Graha-pūjā, and Bhauma-vrata-vidhi

न्यसेत्सेंदून्मातृकार्णाञ्जयांतपुरुषात्मने । नमोंते व्यापकं मंत्री हंस्नयासोऽयमीरितः ॥ १६ ॥

nyasetseṃdūnmātṛkārṇāñjayāṃtapuruṣātmane | namoṃte vyāpakaṃ maṃtrī haṃsnayāso'yamīritaḥ || 16 ||

ജയന്ത-പുരുഷസ്വരൂപമായ അന്തരാത്മാവിനായി ബീജങ്ങളും മാതൃകാ അക്ഷരങ്ങളും കൊണ്ട് ന്യാസം ചെയ്യണം. തുടർന്ന് മന്ത്രജപകൻ ‘ഹേ വ്യാപകാ, നിനക്കു നമോ’ എന്നു ഉച്ചരിക്കണം—ഇതാണ് ഹംസന്യാസം.
