Sanatkumara (in dialogue with Narada, continuing a technical/thematic listing in Book 1.3)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that divine qualities (like faith and modesty) are not abstract ideals alone but are contemplated as inseparable powers (śaktis) associated with specific forms of Viṣṇu and his expansions, guiding devotional meditation and ethical living.
Bhakti is strengthened by cultivating śraddhā (trust in the Lord and śāstra) and lajjā (moral restraint), while remembering Viṣṇu with his auspicious śaktis—especially Lakṣmī with Vāsudeva—signifying grace, prosperity, and steadfast devotion.
The verse supports a Vedanga-style classificatory approach—using precise naming and associations for mantra-japa, nyāsa, and deity-dhyāna—helping practitioners align speech/learning (Sarasvatī) and devotion (Śraddhā) with specific divine forms.
