Nārada’s Hymn to Viṣṇu
Nāradasya Viṣṇu-stavaḥ
yato bhinnamidaṃ sarvaṃ samudbhūtaṃ sthitaṃ ca vai | yasminneṣyati paścācca tamasmi śaraṇaṃ gataḥ || 33 ||
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It expresses śaraṇāgati (taking refuge) in the Supreme Cause—He from whom creation proceeds, by whom it is sustained, and into whom it dissolves—highlighting the Purāṇic vision of ultimate dependence on the Divine.
Bhakti is framed as surrender to the Lord as the origin and end of all existence; recognizing Him as the final refuge naturally cultivates humility, trust, and single-pointed devotion.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Śikṣā, Vyākaraṇa, or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; it is primarily a metaphysical summary of sṛṣṭi-sthiti-laya used to ground devotion and liberation-oriented understanding.
