पापं न क्षीयते हन्तुर्दाता च नरकं व्रजेत् । अश्रौतस्मार्तविहितं प्रायश्चित्तं वदन्ति ये ॥ ५५ ॥
pāpaṃ na kṣīyate hanturdātā ca narakaṃ vrajet | aśrautasmārtavihitaṃ prāyaścittaṃ vadanti ye || 55 ||
ഹന്താവിന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷയിക്കുകയില്ല; അതിന് ആജ്ഞ/അനുമതി നൽകിയവൻ നരകത്തിലേക്ക് പോകും—ശ്രുതി-സ്മൃതി വിധിക്കാത്ത പ്രായശ്ചിത്തങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നവർ ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നു।
