Narada
Vrata: Madana-Dvādaśī-vrata (procedural continuation)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It emphasizes that a vrata is not only an external ritual but a sustained devotional discipline—worship with offerings, followed by night-long wakeful remembrance expressed through sacred arts, culminating in dawn observances.
Bhakti is shown as continuous engagement: offering worship (upacāra) and then keeping the mind fixed through jāgaraṇa supported by gīta, vāditra, and nṛtya—forms of kīrtana-like devotion that keep awareness on the Lord through the night.
Ritual timing and procedure are highlighted—night vigil (niśi jāgaraṇa) and next-day dawn continuation (prātaḥ pare ’hani), aligning the vrata with proper kāla (time) discipline central to practical dharma-ritual observance.
