आवश्यकोत्तमं दानं प्रेतसौख्यकरोहनम् । शारीरकविनिर्देशो यमलोकस्य वर्णनम् ॥ २६ ॥

ഇതിൽ പ്രേതസൗഖ്യം നൽകുന്ന അത്യാവശ്യവും ഉത്തമവുമായ ദാനങ്ങളുടെ വിവരണം ഉണ്ട്; കൂടാതെ ദേഹധാരിയായ ആത്മാവിന്റെ സിദ്ധാന്തനിർദ്ദേശവും യമലോകത്തിന്റെ വർണ്ണനയും പറയുന്നു।
