Suta (summarizing the Purana’s contents in an Anukramanika section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
This verse signals that the text blends devotion to Kṛṣṇa (māhātmya) with instructive purāṇic storytelling, while also grounding devotion in a cosmic framework by explaining Prakṛti’s parts and manifestations.
By emphasizing “Kṛṣṇa-māhātmya,” it presents bhakti as being nourished through hearing (śravaṇa) of Kṛṣṇa’s greatness and related narratives—stories that inspire faith, remembrance, and surrender.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught directly in this verse; instead, it highlights purāṇic method—teaching dharma and metaphysics through structured narratives and cosmological categories (Prakṛti, aṃśa, kalā).
