Adhyaya 90 — The Slaying of Shumbha and the Reabsorption of the Goddesses into Ambika
अश्वांश्च पातयामास रथं सारथिना सह ।
हताश्वः स तदा दैत्यश्छिन्नधान्वा विसारथिः ।
जग्राह मुद्गरं घोरमम्बिकानिधनodyataḥ ॥
aśvāṃś ca pātayāmāsa rathaṃ sārathinā saha / hatāśvaḥ sa tadā daityaś chinnadhānvā visārathiḥ / jagrāha mudgaraṃ ghoram ambikānidhanodyataḥ
അവൾ അവന്റെ കുതിരകളെയും രഥത്തെയും സാരഥിയോടുകൂടി വീഴ്ത്തി നശിപ്പിച്ചു. പിന്നെ ആ ദൈത്യൻ, കുതിരകൾ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടും ധനുസ്സ് തകർന്നും സാരഥിയില്ലാതെയും, അംബികയെ വധിക്കുവാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ച് ഭീകരമായ ഗദ കൈപ്പിടിച്ചു।
