मम वैरिवशं यातः कान् भोगानुपलप्स्यते ॥

na jāne sa pradhāno me śūra-hastī sadā-madaḥ |

mama vairi-vaśaṃ yātaḥ kān bhogān upalapsyate ||

Translation

'എന്റെ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ടതും വീരനും എപ്പോഴും മദించినതുമായ ആ ആന, എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലായിട്ട് എന്ത് സുഖഭോഗങ്ങളാണ് അനുഭവിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് എനിക്കറിയില്ല.'
