Adhyaya 72 — The Reconciliation Rite, Sarasvati Sacrifice, and the Birth of Uttama Manu (Auttama Manvantara Prelude)
मार्कण्डेय उवाच ततः स राजा तं विप्रमाहास्मिन् कीदृशी क्रिया ।
तन्मूकतापनॊदाय स च तं प्राह पार्थिवम् ॥
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca tataḥ sa rājā taṃ vipram āhāsmin kīdṛśī kriyā | tanmūkatāpanodāya sa ca taṃ prāha pārthivam ||
മാർക്കണ്ഡേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ രാജാവ് ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണനോട് ചോദിച്ചു: “ഈ മൂകത നീക്കാൻ ഏതു കർമവിധിയുണ്ട്?” എന്ന്. ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ ഭരണാധിപനോട് മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
