Adhyaya 34Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)

कुर्वतामविनीतानां न श्रोतव्यं कथञ्चन ।

नोत्कृष्टशय्यासनयोर्नापकृष्टस्य चारुहेत् ॥

kurvatām avinītānāṃ na śrotavyaṃ kathañcana / notkṛṣṭaśayyāsanayoḥ nāpakṛṣṭasya cāruhet

അവിനീതരായവരുടെ വാക്കുകൾ ഒരുവിധത്തിലും കേൾക്കരുത്. അത്യധികം ഉയർന്ന ശയ്യയോ ആസനമോ സ്വീകരിക്കരുത്; തനിക്കു താഴ്ന്ന നിലയിലുള്ളവരുടെ വസ്തുവിൽ കയറുകയോ കാൽവയ്ക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യരുത്।
