FAQs

A vow is ethically meaningful only when aligned with dharma and gratitude; otherwise it becomes a weapon to rationalize harm. The text marks the agent as ‘kutajña’ to show moral failure behind seemingly ‘principled’ speech.

Ānucarita, illustrating conduct (ācāra) and its consequences within an episode rather than cosmological structuring.

‘Exclusive vow’ here symbolizes mental fixation (ekāgratā) misdirected: when the mind clings to a false resolve, it ‘rejects’ the true (Madālasā as the luminous/desired form) and binds itself to error.
