Adhyaya 22Kuvalayashva’s Death through Daitya-Deceit and Madalasa’s Self-Immolation

राजा च तां मृतां दृष्ट्वा विना भर्त्रा मदालसाम् ।

प्रत्युवाच जनं सर्वं विमृश्य सुस्थमानसः ॥

rājā ca tāṃ mṛtāṃ dṛṣṭvā vinā bhartrā madālasām /

pratyuvāca janaṃ sarvaṃ vimṛśya susthamānasaḥ

അപ്പോൾ രാജാവ് ഭർത്താവില്ലാതെ മരിച്ച മാദാലസയെ കണ്ടു, സ്ഥിരചിത്തത്തോടെ ആലോചിച്ച്, എല്ലാ ജനങ്ങളോടും മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു।
