एषा पद्मपलाशाक्षी सुमध्या चारुहासिनी । सैरन्ध्री द्रौपदी राजन्‌ यस्यार्थे कीचका हता:,राजन! यह विकसित कमलदलके समान विशाल नेत्र, सुन्दर कटिप्रदेश और मनोहर मुसकानवाली सैरन्ध्री ही महारानी द्रौपदी है, जिसके धर्मकी रक्षाके लिये कीचकोंका वध किया गया

arjuna uvāca |

eṣā padmapalāśākṣī sumadhyā cāruhāsinī |

sairandhrī draupadī rājan yasyārthe kīcakā hatāḥ ||

അർജുനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ! താമരയിതളുപോലുള്ള കണ്ണുകളും സുന്ദരമായ നടുവും മധുരഹാസവും ഉള്ള ഈ സൈരന്ധ്രിയേ മഹാരാണി ദ്രൗപദി. അവളുടെ ധർമ്മവും മാനവും കാക്കാനാണ് കീചകർ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.
