Educational Q&A

A ruler should acknowledge wrongdoing done in ignorance and seek pardon; the truly dharmic person is characterized by forbearance and readiness to forgive, restoring harmony without clinging to offense.

King Virāṭa addresses Yudhiṣṭhira (the Pāṇḍava), admitting that he or his people may have spoken improper words unknowingly, and he requests that the righteous Pāṇḍava forgive the entire fault.
