Educational Q&A

A righteous ruler acknowledges the true source of success and responds with gratitude and humility. Virāṭa credits the Pāṇḍavas’ valor for victory and chooses the ethical course—seeking Yudhiṣṭhira’s goodwill with his ministers—rather than claiming glory for himself.

After the battle in which Virāṭa’s side prevails due to the Pāṇḍavas’ prowess, King Virāṭa speaks and proposes that everyone, including the royal ministers, go to Yudhiṣṭhira (with his younger brothers) to please him and secure harmonious relations.
