Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
अम्लानोबलवाउछूरश्छायेवानुगत: सदा । सत्यवादी मृदुर्दान्त: स राजवसतिं वसेत्,जो उत्साहसम्पन्न, बुद्धि-बलसे युक्त, शूरवीर, सत्यवादी, कोमलस्वभाव और जितेन्द्रिय होकर सदा छायाकी भाँति राजाका अनुसरण करता है, वही राजदरबारमें टिक सकता है
amlāno balavān utsāhaś chāyevā anugataḥ sadā | satyavādī mṛdur dāntaḥ sa rājavasatiṁ vaset ||
ധൗമ്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഒരിക്കലും നിരുത്സാഹപ്പെടാത്തവൻ, ബലവാനും ഉത്സാഹസമ്പന്നനും, ശൂരനും; നിഴലുപോലെ എപ്പോഴും രാജാവിനെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നവൻ; വാക്കിൽ സത്യവാദി, പെരുമാറ്റത്തിൽ മൃദു, ഇന്ദ്രിയസംയമനമുള്ളവൻ—അവനേ രാജസഭയിൽ നിലനിൽക്കാൻ കഴിയൂ.
