Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 33 — Kuru Cattle-Raid and Matsya Mobilization (भूमिंजय-प्रेरणा)
teṣu saṃtrasyamāneṣu kuntīputro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | pratyabhāṣan mahābāhuṃ bhīmasenam arindamam ||
In a moment of collective fear, the leader (Yudhiṣṭhira) turns to the capable protector (Bhīma), highlighting dharma as steadiness, responsibility, and safeguarding others rather than yielding to panic.
As the surrounding group becomes frightened, Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Bhīma—praised for strength and enemy-subduing power—preparing to respond to the developing threat in the Virāṭa Parva context.
