दमयन्त्याः अरण्यविहारः — Damayantī’s Passage through the Wilderness
ह्ृतराज्यं ह्ृतद्रव्यं विवस्त्र क्षुच्छूमान्वितम् । कथमुत्सृज्य गच्छेयमहं त्वां निर्जने वने
hṛtarājyaṁ hṛtadravyaṁ vivastraṁ kṣucchūmānvitam | katham utsṛjya gaccheyam ahaṁ tvāṁ nirjane vane ||
അങ്ങയുടെ രാജ്യം കവർന്നെടുത്തു; ധനവും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു; അങ്ങ് വസ്ത്രരഹിതനായി, വിശപ്പും കഷ്ടപ്പാടും അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു. ഈ നിർജന വനത്തിൽ അങ്ങയെ ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് വിട്ട് ഞാൻ എങ്ങനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് പോകും?
