दमयन्त्याः कार्यनिश्चयः — Damayantī’s Crisis Plan and Vārṣṇeya’s Departure

तान्‌ समीक्ष्य ततः सर्वान्‌ निर्विशेषाकृतीन्‌ स्थितान्‌ । संदेहादथ वैदर्भी नाभ्यजानान्नलं नृपम्‌,उन सबके रूप-रंग आदिमें कोई अन्तर नहीं था। वे पाँचों नलके ही समान दिखायी देते थे। उन्हें एक जगह स्थित देखकर संदेह उत्पन्न हो जानेसे विदर्भराजकुमारी वास्तविक राजा नलको पहचान न सकी

tān samīkṣya tataḥ sarvān nirviśeṣākṛtīn sthitān | saṃdehād atha vaidarbhī nābhyajānān nalaṃ nṛpam ||

അവരെല്ലാം സൂക്ഷ്മമായി നിരീക്ഷിച്ച്—വ്യത്യാസമില്ലാത്ത ഒരേ രൂപത്തിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നവരെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ—വൈദർഭി സംശയത്തിൽ ആകപ്പെട്ടു; ആ സംശയത്താൽ അവൾ രാജാവ് നളനെ തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.
