Book 3, Chapter 45
विदितस्ते<र्जुनो वीर: स स्वर्गफलमाप्नुयात् । त्वं तु शक्राभ्यनुज्ञाता तस्य पादान्तिकं व्रज । तदेवं कुरु कल्याणि प्रसन्नस्त्वां धनंजय:
viditas te 'rjuno vīraḥ sa svargaphalam āpnuyāt | tvaṃ tu śakrābhyanujñātā tasya pādāntikaṃ vraja | tad evaṃ kuru kalyāṇi prasannas tvāṃ dhanaṃjayaḥ |
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “വീരനായ അർജുനൻ നിനക്കറിയപ്പെട്ടവനാണ്; അവൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗഫലം പ്രാപിക്കും. എന്നാൽ നീ, ശക്രൻ (ഇന്ദ്രൻ) നൽകിയ അനുവാദത്തോടെ, അവന്റെ പാദാന്തികത്തിലേക്ക് പോകുക. അതിനാൽ അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ചെയ്യുക, കല്യാണി—ധനഞ്ജയൻ (അർജുനൻ) നിനക്കു പ്രസന്നനാകും.”
