द्रोणात्‌ कृपाच्च रामाच्च सो&स्त्रग्रामं चतुर्विधम्‌ | लब्धवा लोके5भवत््‌ ख्यात: परमेष्वासतां गत:,वह द्रोणाचार्य, कृपाचार्य तथा परशुरामसे चारों प्रकारकी अस्त्रविद्या सीखकर संसारमें एक महान्‌ धनुर्धरके रूपमें विख्यात हुआ

droṇāt kṛpācca rāmācca so ’stragrāmaṃ caturvidham | labdhvā loke ’bhavat khyātaḥ parameṣv āsatāṃ gataḥ ||

ദ്രോണനിൽ നിന്നും കൃപനിൽ നിന്നും രാമനിൽ നിന്നും (പരശുരാമനിൽ നിന്നും) ചതുര്വിധമായ അസ്ത്രവിദ്യയുടെ സമഗ്രസമ്പത്ത് കൈവരിച്ച്, അവൻ ലോകത്തിൽ മഹാധനുര്ധരനായി പ്രസിദ്ധനായി; ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരുടെ നിരയിൽ സ്ഥാനം നേടി.
