Shloka 42

एतत्‌ सर्व मया55ख्यातं कारणं विस्तरेण व: । यथावृत्तं सुखोदर्कमिदं दु:ःखं महन्मम,इस प्रकार मैंने आपलोगोंसे विलम्बसे आनेका कारण और उसका यथावत्‌ वृत्तान्त विस्तारपूर्वक बताया है। मुझे जो यह महान्‌ दुःख उठाना पड़ा है उसका अन्तिम फल सुख ही हुआ है

etat sarvaṁ mayākhyātaṁ kāraṇaṁ vistareṇa vaḥ | yathāvṛttaṁ sukhodarkam idaṁ duḥkhaṁ mahan mama ||

ഇങ്ങനെ എന്റെ വൈകിയെത്തലിന്റെ കാരണവും സംഭവിച്ചതെല്ലാം സംഭവിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നെയും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് വിശദമായി പറഞ്ഞു. എന്റെ ഈ മഹാദുഃഖത്തിന്റെ അന്തിമഫലം എന്നാൽ സന്തോഷമായിത്തീർന്നു।
