ततो राज्ञा सहासीना: सर्वे ते वनवासिन: । जातकौतूहला: पार्थ पप्रच्छुर्न॒पते: सुतम्,पार्थ! तत्पश्चात् राजाके साथ बैठे हुए वे सभी वनवासी कौतूहलवश राजकुमार सत्यवानसे पूछने लगे
tato rājñā sahāsīnāḥ sarve te vanavāsinaḥ | jātakautūhalāḥ pārtha papracchur nṛpateḥ sutam ||
പിന്നീട് രാജാവിനൊപ്പം ഇരുന്ന ആ എല്ലാ വനവാസികളും കൗതുകംകൊണ്ട് ഉണർന്നു. ഹേ പാർഥാ! അവർ രാജപുത്രനായ—രാജാവിന്റെ മകൻ സത്യവാനെ—ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യാൻ തുടങ്ങി; അത്യപൂർവ സംഭവത്തെ കണ്ട സമൂഹം ധർമ്മാനുസാരമായി സത്യം അറിയാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
