Dharma-vyādha on Parental Worship

Pitṛ-mātṛ-śuśrūṣā as Paramadaivata

दृष्टवा तावब्रवीद्‌ देव: स्वागतं वां महाबलौ । ददामि वां वर श्रेष्ठ प्रीतिर्हि मम जायते,उन महाबली दानवोंको देखकर भगवान्‌ विष्णुने कहा--“तुम दोनों बड़े बलवान हो। तुम्हारा स्वागत है। मैं तुम दोनोंको उत्तम वर दे रहा हूँ; क्योंकि तुम्हें देखकर मुझे प्रसन्नता होती है”

dṛṣṭvā tāv abravīd devaḥ svāgataṃ vāṃ mahābalau | dadāmi vāṃ varaśreṣṭhaṃ prītir hi mama jāyate ||

അവരെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ഭഗവാൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഹേ മഹാബലവാന്മാരേ! നിങ്ങളെ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളിരുവർക്കും ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ വരം നൽകുന്നു; നിങ്ങളെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പ്രീതി ഉദിക്കുന്നു.”
