प्रत्यदृश्यन्त संग्रामे शतशो5थ सहस््रशः वे महान् बलवान तो थे ही, रथके विचित्र पैंतरे बदलकर रणभूमिमें विचर रहे थे। उस युद्धके मैदानमें उनके सौ-सौ और हजार-हजारके झुंड दिखायी देते थे

ആ സംഗ्रामത്തിൽ അവർ നൂറുകളായും ആയിരങ്ങളായും പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. അവർ മഹാബലവാന്മാരായിരുന്നു; രഥങ്ങളുടെ വിചിത്രമായ തിരിവുകളും പായ്ച്ചകളും മാറ്റിമാറ്റി യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചു. ആ रणഭൂമിയിൽ അവരുടെ നൂറുകളുടെയും ആയിരങ്ങളുടെയും സംഘങ്ങൾ വ്യക്തമായി കാണപ്പെട്ടു—യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ വേഗം തന്നെ ഭയങ്കരരൂപം ധരിച്ചതുപോലെ.
