पीड्यमानासु मायासु तासु तास्वसुरोत्तमा: । पुनर्बहुविधा माया: प्राकुर्वन्नमितौजस:,उससे असुरोंकी वे सारी मायाएँ नष्ट हो गयीं। तब उन अमित तेजस्वी दानवराजाओंने पुनः नाना प्रकारकी मायाएँ प्रकट की
pīḍyamānāsu māyāsu tāsu tāsv asurottamāḥ | punar bahuvidhā māyāḥ prākurvann amitaujasaḥ ||
അവരുടെ വിവിധ മായകൾ അടിച്ചമർത്തപ്പെട്ടു തകർന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അസുരോത്തമരായ, അളവറ്റ തേജസ്സുള്ള ദാനവരാജാക്കന്മാർ വീണ്ടും പലവിധ മായകൾ പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു.
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights a moral contrast: when deceptive powers (māyā) are checked, those committed to adharma tend to respond not with restraint but by generating further deception. It suggests that reliance on illusion and trickery perpetuates turmoil, whereas dharmic strength aims to dispel confusion rather than multiply it.
Arjuna describes a battle-like situation in which the Asuras’ various magical illusions are being overcome and destroyed. In response, the powerful Dānava leaders again create many new forms of māyā, escalating the confrontation through renewed magical stratagems.
