Saubha-ākhyāna: Śālva’s Approach and the Fortification of Dvārakā (सौभाख्यानम्—द्वारकायाः सुरक्षाविधानम्)
tato niryāya kauravya avasthāpya ca tad balam | ānartānāṁ mahārāja pradyumno vākyam abravīt ||
The verse highlights dharmic leadership: in moments of uncertainty, a capable leader first stabilizes the collective (halts disorder, restores morale) and then speaks with purpose. Ethical action here is not merely bravery, but disciplined guidance that prevents chaos and aligns a group toward rightful conduct.
Pradyumna steps forward, halts and organizes the Ānarta force, and then addresses them. The focus is on the immediate act of rallying and steadying an army before delivering instructions or counsel.
