Chapter 157: Draupadi’s request, Bhima’s ascent, and the combat with Maniman
भीमसेनादिशि: सर्वैर्भ्नातृभि: परिवारित: । पाज्चाल्या ब्राह्मुणाश्वैव न्यवसन्त सुखं तदा
bhīmasenādiśiḥ sarvair bhrātṛbhiḥ parivāritaḥ | pāñcālyā brāhmaṇaiś caiva nyavasanta sukhaṃ tadā ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ ഭീമസേനൻ എല്ലാ സഹോദരന്മാരാലും ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ടവനായി, പാഞ്ചാലിയോടും ബ്രാഹ്മണരോടും കൂടി അവിടെ സുഖമായി പാർത്തു.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma expressed as unity among brothers and responsible care for those under their protection—Draupadī and the brāhmaṇas—showing that ethical strength includes sustaining community and learning even amid exile.
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates that Bhīma, accompanied and surrounded by all his brothers, is residing comfortably at that time, together with Draupadī and the brāhmaṇas.
