ऋक्षाश्नोत्ससजुर्वक्षांस्तत्यजुर्हरयों गुहाम् । व्यजृम्भन्त महासिंहा महिषाश्वावलोकयन्
ṛkṣāś ca utsasajur vṛkṣān tatyajur harayo guhām | vyajṛmbhanta mahāsiṃhā mahiṣāśvāvalokayan ||
കരടികൾ മരങ്ങളുടെ അഭയം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു; മഞ്ഞനിറമുള്ള സിംഹങ്ങൾ ഗുഹകൾ വിട്ടു. മഹാസിംഹങ്ങൾ വായ് തുറന്ന് ജംബിച്ചു; കാട്ടുപോത്തുകളും കുതിരകളും ദൂരത്തിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ അവയെ നോക്കി നിന്നു—വനത്തിന്റെ സ്വാഭാവിക ക്രമം തന്നെ കലങ്ങിയതുപോലെ।
