मैत्रेयागमनम् — The Arrival of Maitreya and the Admonition to Duryodhana
आक्रम्य च कटीदेशे जानुना राक्षसाधमम् | पीडयामास पाणिभ्यां कण्ठं तस्थ वृकोदर:,भीमने उस राक्षसके कटिप्रदेशको अपने घुटनेसे दबाकर दोनों हाथोंसे उसका गला मरोड़ दिया
ākrāmya ca kaṭīdeśe jānunā rākṣasādhamam | pīḍayāmāsa pāṇibhyāṃ kaṇṭhaṃ tasthā vṛkodaraḥ ||
അപ്പോൾ വൃകോദരൻ ഭീമൻ ആ രാക്ഷസാധമന്റെ അരക്കെട്ടിൽ മുട്ടുകുത്തി അമർത്തി, ഇരുകൈകളാൽ അവന്റെ കഴുത്ത് ഞെരിച്ച് മുറുക്കി।
विदुर उवाच
When confronted by a violent and unrighteous aggressor, decisive strength may be employed to restrain and eliminate the threat; such force is framed as protective rather than cruel when directed against adharma.
Bhīma (Vṛkodara) pins a wicked rākṣasa by pressing his knee into the demon’s waist and then strangles him with both hands, standing firm until the enemy is subdued.
